In the quiet of the morning, while sitting on the balcony, we were treated to a surprise! A flock of brilliant green, noisy birds flew in for a visit. They landed briefly on the balconies and roof tops. We did some research and learned that they are the Green Parrots of Rome often seen flying around the Roman Forum. They sometimes fly out of the city into the country in search of food. We were lucky to be in the right place at the right time to catch a glimpse!
